Meeting place at Endcliffe Park café 10.00am – 12noon
Special task on a regular work morning: laying hoggin to improve the path to the Amigo Monument in readiness for the annual February ceremony to commemorate the great wartime sacrifice made here. Refreshments at the Cafe around midday or later depending on progress.
Wear stout footwear and clothing to suit the weather. Tools and wheelbarrows provided by Parks Dept. It looks like 50 hoggin loads to barrow and spread in order to even out the rough surface. There may well be lighter tasks like gardening and litterpicking available too. Gilets jaunes, refreshments and tools provided! Wear footwear and clothing suitable for the activity and the weather.
