St. Mark’s Church, Broomhill 7.30pm – 9.30pm

The first half of our programme features beautiful settings of traditional Christmas texts by composers ranging from the 16th to 21st century, including Es ist ein Ros entsprungen by Michael Praetorius, Tomorrow shall be my Dancing Day by John Gardner and Glow by Eric Whitacre; we finish with the magnificent Hallelujah chorus from Messiah, accompanied by our superb guest organist Peter Heginbotham and strings from the Sheffield Music Academy, our other special guests for the evening.

The second half includes such highlights as Gabriel Jackson's serene Hush! my dear, Harold Darke's tender setting of In the Bleak Midwinter and John Rutter's wonderfully lyrical Candlelight Carol; we end with one or two surprises...

Tickets £12, £10 (concessions) and £6 (students with a student card). Children under 16 are free of charge.
