Footpath across the recreation ground and tree planting - update
The new the footpath and car park resurfacing have now been completed and the recreation ground is now much more accessible.
Later this year (hopefully in March) a number of trees will be planted by the Parks and Countryside section of the City Council during February to replace those damaged during the recent drainage work and to fill some of the bare spots on the Rec.
Dore Village Society would like to thank all those involved in the works and will continue to monitor this project and offer top up support with its own funds where appropriate.
Residents can help maintain the integrity of the new footpath by reporting immediately any unauthorised vehicles on the Rec to the police using the 101 number and describing those involved – but don’t approach them.
